Version 1.0Last updated: 1 October 2026
GDPR-compliant privacy policy

This English translation is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Danish version applies.
This policy has been prepared in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.The data controller is FOOQUS (CVR: 41868724).

1. Who is responsible for your data?

FOOQUS (CVR: 41868724) is the data controller for the personal data we process about you as a customer, user of the platform or visitor to fooqus.com.

You can always contact us at support@fooqus.com.

Newsletters you send via FOOQUS: When you, as a customer, upload recipient lists and send newsletters through FOOQUS, your business is the data controller for the recipients. FOOQUS processes the data as a data processor on your behalf and only according to your instructions.

2. What data do we process?

About you and your account: Name, email, phone number, login details and your role in the business.

About your business: Name, CVR number, address, industry, website, logo and the information you give us in onboarding and in the profile, e.g. target audiences, services, tone, answers to questions and holiday periods. When you sign up, we look the business up in the Danish company register (CVR), and we may read the content of your public website to fill in the profile faster.

Content: Posts, ideas, comments, approvals, newsletters, images, videos and other files you upload or create in the platform.

Connected accounts: When you connect Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, we store access to the pages you choose, and figures for the posts we have published, e.g. views, reactions and comments.

Recipient lists: Email addresses and any names of recipients of your newsletters, and whether they are subscribed or unsubscribed.

Payment and invoices: Invoice details from our payment provider Stripe: name, CVR, address, email, services purchased and amounts. We do not store card numbers.

Technical data and logs: Times of logins and actions in the system, IP address and browser type. We use this for security and troubleshooting.

Enquiries: Support tickets, emails and messages you send to us.

3. Why, and on what legal basis?

To perform our agreement with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)):

- create and run your account

- make content plans, ideas, copy and images for your business

- publish and schedule posts on the accounts you have connected

- measure how your posts perform

- send newsletters you have asked us to send

- send reminders and overviews of your content, e.g. when something is awaiting approval

- invoice and provide support

Legitimate interest (point (f)): Security, prevention of misuse, troubleshooting, improving the platform and documenting that a deletion has been carried out.

Legal obligation (point (c)): Storing invoices and accounting records under the Danish Bookkeeping Act.

Consent (point (a)): If we ask for your consent to something, e.g. marketing from us, you can always withdraw it.

4. How we use AI

FOOQUS uses artificial intelligence to suggest ideas, write drafts, correct language, translate, analyse your profile and create images.

- So that the AI can create relevant content, we send the necessary information about your business and your content to our AI providers. These include Anthropic (Claude) and the AI services made available by our platform provider Base44.

- Reference images you upload may be used as a basis when images are created.

- Everything the AI creates is a suggestion. You decide what is used, edited or published, and how much FOOQUS may do without your approval.

- We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal effects or similarly significant effects (GDPR Art. 22).

- FOOQUS does not train its own AI models on your data.

5. Connected social media

When you connect Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, you allow FOOQUS to fetch information about your pages and to publish and schedule posts on them. We only do this with the permissions you yourself granted when logging in with Meta or LinkedIn.

We fetch figures for the posts published via FOOQUS, so you can see what works.

You can disconnect at any time in your profile in FOOQUS or in the settings at Meta or LinkedIn. Publishing and measurement then stop.

6. Who do we share data with?

We use the following providers to run FOOQUS. They only process data according to our instructions and under data processing agreements:

- Base44: Hosting, database, login, files and the system's automatic emails

- Anthropic and other AI services via Base44: Text, analysis and images

- Resend: Sending emails and newsletters

- Stripe: Payment and invoices

- cvrapi.dk: Look-up of business information in the Danish company register (CVR)

Meta and LinkedIn: When you publish via FOOQUS, we send the content to the accounts you have connected. Meta and LinkedIn are independent data controllers for what happens on their platforms.

We never sell your data and do not share it with others for their own marketing.

7. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some of our providers, including AI providers and Stripe, process data in the USA or other countries outside the EU/EEA.

This only happens on a lawful basis, typically the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified.

Write to support@fooqus.com if you would like a copy of the basis.

8. How long do we keep your data?

- Account, business profile and content: For as long as you have an account.

- Recipient lists: For as long as you keep them in FOOQUS. Unsubscribed recipients are marked so they receive no more emails.

- Invoices: 5 years from the end of the financial year they belong to, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act. This applies even if the account is deleted. They are then deleted.

- Support enquiries: 3 years.

- Security and activity log: 12 months.

When you delete your account (under My profile → Account), we immediately delete the business profile, answers, posts, ideas, plans, comments, recipient lists and user accounts, and FOOQUS' access to your social media is disconnected. Images and other files you have uploaded are removed from the account immediately and deleted from our file storage within 30 days. You will receive a receipt by email.

We only keep the invoices (see above) and a log of the deletion itself (who requested it and when) for 12 months, so we can document that it has taken place.

Posts already published on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn are stored by them and must be deleted there.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

- access the information we hold about you

- have incorrect information corrected

- have your information deleted, unless we are required by law to keep it

- have processing restricted

- receive your information in a common format (data portability)

- object to processing based on our legitimate interest

- withdraw consent

Write to support@fooqus.com. We reply within 30 days at the latest. You can also delete your account yourself under My profile → Account.

You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, dt@datatilsynet.dk, datatilsynet.dk.

10. Cookies and browser storage

FOOQUS does not use cookies for marketing, advertising or tracking across websites.

We only use technically necessary storage in your browser:

- to keep you logged in

- a small cookie that remembers whether the side menu is open or closed

These do not require consent, because the platform does not work without them. If we later start using statistics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

11. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access control and a log of actions in the system. Invoices are stored as private files that can only be opened with a temporary link. Only people who need it for their work have access to your data.

If a security breach occurs that may harm you, we will notify you and the Danish Data Protection Agency in accordance with the rules.

12. Changes to the policy

We update the policy when FOOQUS changes or when the rules do. In case of significant changes, we notify you by email or in the platform before they take effect.

The current version is always available at fooqus.com/privatlivspolitik.
